WHAT ARE THE STEPS INVOLVED IN THIS TREATMENT?
The first step is the Vortex-Exfoliation™, which cleanses and exfoliates the skin, using a resurfacing wand and Activ-4™ serum, in order to eliminate dirt, debris, and the sebum that is responsible for the development of acne. As a result, pores are unclogged and the skin’s surface is rejuvenated. This gentle process can be compared to the feeling of using a facial brush, such as a Clarisonic.
Next, is the Vortex-Peel™, using Glysal™ serum, a blend of salicylic and glycolic acids. While gentle on the skin, this peel is incredibly effective in dislodging the stubborn dirt, debris, and sebum that causes clogged pores. This deeply penetrating peel works to treat existing acne while also preventing future breakouts. Unlike other glycolic acid peels, the Vortex-Peel™ does not cause the skin to string or peel following the procedure.
While traditional facials often involve painful manual extractions, the third step of a HydraFacial™ utilizes the Vortex-Extraction™ nozzle tip, which gently suctions out any remaining blackheads and impurities, deeply cleaning pores and preparing skin for the final step of the treatment without causing skin trauma and inflammation.
